I began my real estate career in the early 1980’s as a developer. For the next 18 years, I built single and multi-family residential communities and shopping centers throughout the South. My duties included land acquisition, securing financing and entitlements, overseeing design and construction, sales and marketing, negotiating equity participation and partnership agreements and project disposition.
As an extension to my development business, I founded Geometrix Corporation and served as its CEO until the company was sold in 1999. Geometrix assisted clients such as Mobil Land Development, Terrabrook, Cousins Properties, North American Properties, Jacoby Development and mall developer Scott Hudgens by identifying and researching development opportunities. Some of the projects we handled included the expansion plans for Windward in Alpharetta, GA, Reston Town Center in Reston, VA and identifying markets for numerous super-regional retail centers and mixed use developments.
Geometrix also provided business strategy advisory services to clients such as Coca-Cola, Shaw Industries, NationsBank, WalMart, Publix and many others.
After the sale of Geometrix, I opened Conrad Lyles Realtors, a boutique real estate company that became one of the top producing independent offices in Atlanta. Over the next 12 years, I sold over $440 million serving homebuilders, developers, investors and owners of luxury homes in Buckhead, Sandy Springs and Brookhaven. The company’s average sale was more than $1 million higher than its closest competitors.
For the past four years, I’ve developed training programs for the real estate industry that have helped thousands of agents plan, promote and grow successful businesses.
Born and raised in Atlanta, I live in Buckhead with my wife, Annis, a retired Coca-Cola media executive. We have twins, Bailey who is an account manager with Amazon in Seattle and Carter, who serves as the Director of Marketing for Yellow Dog Flyfishing Travel in Bozeman, Montana.
When I’m not working, I enjoy fly fishing, hunting, sporting clays and travel.
